Activities Proposed

• Awareness programmes in different states/region of the country.
• Skill up-gradation programmes on cultivation and processing of medicinal and aromatic plants.
• Advanced training on value addition of the MAP produce and quality assessment.

Deliverables

• About 400 One-day awareness programmesfor farmers and progressive citizens will be organized to motivate them about the benefits of cultivation of medicinal and aromatic crops for different agroclimatic regions of the country.
• About 85 training programmes of 2-3 days duration on cultivation and processing technologies for skill upgradation.
• About 55 advanced training of 1-2 weeks on the processing technologies (distillation, quality testing, fractionation, product development etc.) will be organized to develop semi-skilled to skilled manpower/entrepreneurs to take up value addition activities related to aromatic crops.
• About 05 hands on practical training on fragrance quality of aromatic oils- skill development as aroma testerwould be conducted.
