An awareness-cum-training program under Aroma Mission Phase-III was successfully organized on 24^th September, 2025 in Village Kudi, Block Narendranagar, District Tehri Garhwal. The program aimed to educate farmers about the cultivation, management, and industrial potential of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) such as Rosemary and Lavender. Experts highlighted the role of scientific farming, quality planting material, and value addition in enhancing farmers’ income and promoting sustainable agriculture. Over 20 farmers took part in the programe including 5 women. The initiative also informed participants about various schemes under CSIR-IIIM’s Aroma Mission, encouraging them to adopt aromatic crop cultivation as a means to strengthen rural livelihoods and contribute to the aroma-based agro-economy of Uttarakhand.
