On 01/10/2025, the awareness programme held under CSIR-IIIM Jammu Aroma Mission Phase-III at Dasili Gram Panchayat, Dhauladevi Block, District Almora, Uttarakhand, aimed at empowering farmers with knowledge about the cultivation and commercialization of medicinal and aromatic plants such as rosemary, lavender, and others. Experts highlighted the economic potential of these crops, emphasizing their use in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and fragrance industries. Farmers were guided on scientific cultivation practices, value addition, and market opportunities to enhance their income. The programme served as an important step towards promoting sustainable agriculture, diversifying cropping patterns, and improving livelihood opportunities in the region. Farmers were provided with information regarding the industrial applications and cultivation benefits of these crops.
