Under the CSIR-IIIM Aroma Mission, a Lavender QPM Distribution Drive was conducted on 08-01-2026 at Phagsoo, Doda and Kishtwar. During the event, 34,300 lavender plants were distributed among 13 beneficiary farmers to encourage wider adoption of aromatic crop cultivation in the region.

The initiative aims to expand the cultivation of high-value lavender, promote agri-diversification, and strengthen rural livelihood opportunities. By providing farmers access to quality planting material and technical guidance, CSIR-IIIM continues to empower local communities, enhance income prospects, and contribute to the growth of the emerging lavender economy in Jammu & Kashmir.
