On 25.02.2026, CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine Jammu organized a Lavender (QPM) distribution and awareness programme for farmers in various villages of Ramban District under CSIR-Aroma Mission Phase-III. The programme aimed to promote lavender cultivation as an income-generating crop and to create awareness among farmers about its scientific cultivation practices, economic benefits, and marketing potential. During the programme, a total of 50,400 Quality Planting Material (QPM) of lavender was distributed among 39 beneficiary farmers across different villages of the district.
At Village Bhartund of Tehsil Rajgarh, 10,500 lavender QPM were distributed among 06 beneficiary farmers. Similarly, at Village Natna-Kumate of Tehsil Rajgarh, 19,600 QPM were provided to 10 beneficiary farmers. In another village of Rajgarh Tehsil, Halla-Dhundrath, a total of 20,300 lavender QPM were distributed among 23 beneficiary farmers. The initiative is expected to enhance farmers’ income and strengthen lavender-based agri-entrepreneurship in the Rajgarh area of Ramban district.
