The Lavender Distribution Programme was successfully conducted at CSIR-IIIM Branch Lab Srinagar on 26th March 2026 under the CSIR-Aroma Mission (Phase–III), organized by CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu.

The programme aimed to promote lavender cultivation in the region, enhance farmers’ livelihoods, and encourage the adoption of aromatic crops as a sustainable agricultural practice.

During the event, approximately 1,30,000 high-quality lavender planting materials were distributed among 84 farmers from various districts, including Budgam, Srinagar, Anantnag, Bandipora, and Sopore.

The programme also included awareness and training sessions focusing on scientific cultivation practices, proper post-harvest management, value addition, and exploring market opportunities for aromatic crops.
