CSIR-IIIM, JAMMU

On October 4, 2025, under the CSIR-IIIM Jammu Aroma Mission Phase-III, a farmer training program was organized at Gram Panchayat Beradhar, Block Dewal, District Chamoli, Uttarakhand. The Program aimed to promote the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants such as rosemary, lavender, and others in the region.

During the event, farmers were educated about the scientific cultivation practices, industrial potential, and economic benefits associated with these aromatic crops. Experts from CSIR-IIIM Jammu shared valuable insights on how the cultivation of such high-value crops can enhance farmers’ income and contribute to the rural economy. The training also emphasized the importance of linking farmers with industries to ensure better market access and value addition for their produce.
