A two-day training program under the CSIR Aroma Mission Phase III was successfully organized on 17th–18th August 2025 at Village Binouri, Fingeshwar Block, Gariaband District, Chhattisgarh, with the objective of promoting the cultivation, processing, and value addition of aromatic crops for enhancing rural livelihoods and sustainable agricultural practices. More than 100 farmers actively participated in the program, showing keen interest in high-value aromatic crops suitable to the region’s agro-climatic conditions. The training included on-field demonstrations, practical sessions, and expert guidance on scientific cultivation, post-harvest management, and essential oil extraction, along with awareness on market linkages, value chain development, and success stories from progressive farmers, thereby motivating participants to adopt aromatic crops for income diversification and long-term sustainability.
