Under the Aroma Mission, CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) organized a Lavender and Rosemary QPM Distribution Program at Rajouri on 20 January 2026. The program aimed to promote the cultivation of high-value aromatic crops and enhance farmers’ income through the adoption of improved planting material and scientific farming practices. A total of 12 farmers participated in the program, reflecting strong local interest in aromatic crop cultivation.

During the event, 11,900 lavender QPMs and 2,800 rosemary QPMs were distributed among the participating farmers. The distribution was carried out to support area expansion, improve crop productivity, and encourage sustainable livelihood opportunities in the region. The initiative under the CSIR Aroma Mission is expected to strengthen the aromatic plant-based farming system in Rajouri and contribute to rural development and economic upliftment of farming communities.
