CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Jammu organized one day awareness-cum-distribution programme on “Lavender cultivation” for farmers of Dhar Mahanpur of Kathua district on 17.12.2023 and Distribution QPM to Farmers under CSIR- Aroma Mission Phase III.

The main objective and aim of the awareness program was to create awareness among the participants for employment generation and to achieve the dream of the honorable Prime Minister of doubling income through industrially important crops over traditional cropping.

More than 30 farmers from Dhar Mahanpur participated enthusiastically, and they showed their interest in cultivating aromatic crops after interacting with scientists and agriculturists for better economic returns. The officials explained to the farmers regarding cultivation of Lavender and the future of the crop in the region.
