The International Conference on Traditional Medicine & Phytopharmaceuticals and 11th International Congress of Society for Ethnopharmacology will be jointly organized by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine and Society for Ethnopharmacology, India (Jammu Chapter) during February 16 -18, 2024 at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu, India. The theme of this congress “Ethnopharmacology in Development of Phytopharmaceutical Drugs” is mainly focused on several regularly changing issues on the scientific study, validation and legalization of traditional medicines based on medicinal plants and Ethnopharmacology for the development of new phytopharmaceutical drugs. In November 2015, the CDSCO created a separate set of regulatory guidelines for drug development of plant-based drugs in India.
The implementation of these guidelines by CDSCO has provided a path to develop botanical drugs like modern medicine. This important addition of new categories has provided a ray of hope for innovations and development of new drugs from botanicals in a scientific way and it would help in the global acceptance of the use of plant-based This international conference will comprise wide range of important scientific sessions including Keynote presentations, Plenary talks, Special sessions and Oral/Poster sessions by the renowned International and National scientists and subject experts focused on several crucial and contemporary issues on the scientific study on traditional medicine based on the medicinal plants and Ethnopharmacology.
