CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Jammu organized an awareness programme on Cultivation of aromatic crops like Rosemary and Lavender for farmers of Netala village in Uttarakhand on 16.07.2024 under CSIR- Aroma Mission Phase III.
The awareness program plays a significant role in educating farmers, gardeners, and stakeholders about the benefits, techniques, and economic potential of these crops and provide comprehensive information on the cultivation practices of various aromatic crops to inform participants about employment opportunities and to support the Prime Minister’s vision of doubling incomes by promoting the cultivation of industrially significant crops instead of traditional ones. More than 55 farmers of village have attended the program.
Cultivating aromatic crops can be a profitable venture for farmers, but it requires specific knowledge and techniques to ensure successful growth and high-quality yield.
