Awareness cum training program organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Halsi, Lakhisarai, Bihar on 31-07-2024

CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) Jammu hosted an Awareness and Training Program at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Halsi, Lakhisarai, Bihar, on July 31, 2024, as part of its ongoing Aroma Mission Phase-III. The program’s goal was to promote the cultivation and processing of aromatic plants, providing farmers and entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to enter and thrive in this expanding sector.
The program’s primary objectives were to educate participants about the economic potential of growing aromatic plants and to offer practical training in the cultivation, harvesting, processing, and value addition of these crops. The event featured sessions led by experts in the field, including scientists from CSIR-IIIM Jammu and seasoned cultivators.
Participants responded enthusiastically to the program, appreciating the valuable information and training provided. Many expressed interest in starting or expanding their cultivation of aromatic plants, encouraged by the support and resources offered by CSIR-IIIM. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Sabha Jeet (Sr. Scientist) ensuring an informative experience for all attendees. By equipping farmers and entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge and tools, the Aroma Mission aims to create economic opportunities and improve livelihoods.
