CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Jammu organized a one-day program of Demonstration of optimization process of lemon grass oil extraction through distillation units in Tikri on 04-10-2023. 

The main objective and aim of the awareness programme was to create awareness among the participants for employment generation and to achieve the dream of honorable Prime Minister of doubling income through industrially important crops over traditional cropping.

The tour was conducted with the agenda of shortening the Essential oil distillation problem, demonstrating, and providing technical know-how in the distillation process at Tikri, Udhampur.

In this program, 15 farmers were trained on the lemongrass oil extraction process and its optimization.
