Awareness cum QPM distribution program organized at Bhukki village, Block Bhatwari District Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand on 13-2-2025.

CSIR-IIIM, JAMMU

CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, organized an awareness cum distribution program on Feburary 13, 2025, in Bhukki village, Uttarakhand, under CSIR-Aroma Mission Phase III. The program aimed to educate farmers about the cultivation of aromatic crop lavender. More than 50 farmers attended the event, where they learned about the benefits, farming techniques, and economic potential of the crop. During this event, CSIR IIIM distributed Lavender slips to a cluster of  farmers in the specified region under CSIR Aroma Mission-III. Experts shared information on how cultivating aromatic plants can be a profitable alternative to traditional crops, supporting the Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ incomes. The program also highlighted employment opportunities in the aromatic plant sector and the increasing demand for these crops in industries. By providing essential knowledge and skills, the event encouraged farmers to adopt sustainable and profitable farming practices.
