On July 30, 2024, the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) conducted an awareness program in Bukki Malla village, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, under the Aroma Mission Phase-III. The event, organized by the Project Staff of CSIR-IIIM, Jammu, aimed to educate local farmers on employment opportunities and achieving the honorable Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ incomes through the cultivation of industrially important crops, as opposed to traditional agriculture.

The sessions covered every aspect, from laboratory research to field cultivation and market distribution. The officials assured technical support to the farmers for future projects, emphasizing the potential for economic growth and sustainable agriculture. Many participants expressed interest in starting or expanding their cultivation of aromatic plants, encouraged by the support and resources offered by CSIR-IIIM.
