CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine Jammu under Aroma Mission Phase-3 organized a one day“Kissan Sammelan: Viksit Bharat sankalp yatra ki aur” in Hiranagar of District Kathua on 28th, January, 2024. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and technology and Vice president CSIR graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was organized under the patronage of Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director CSIR-IIIM Jammu. DDC Chairman Kathua Mahan Singh, Vice Chairman DDC Kathua Raghunandan Singh, DDC member Karan Attri were among the prominent personalities present at the occasion.More than 700 farmers from various villages of Hiranagar Tehsil of Kathua district attended this programme.
Quality planting material of Lemongrass was also distributed with an aim to sensitize the farmers about the versatile and high valued aromatic crops.
Dr. Suphla Gupta (Nodal officer, Aroma Mission-III, CSIR-IIIM Jammu) , Dr. V.P. Rahul, Dr. Rajendra Bhanwaria, Dr. Sabhajeet, Dr. Siya Ram Meena, Mr. Akash Verma and Mr. Ankush Verma were in the team who organized this event.
