CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Jammu launched its One Week One Lab Campaign on June 2023 to 10 June 2023, under this Lavender Festival, inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Science and Technology, Minister of State in the PMO, Ministry of Personnel, Pensions, Public Grievances, DoAE, Department of Space, and Vice President, CSIR, on 04-06-2023 in Bhaderwah.

By addressing a large gathering, the Union Minister said, ‘The Aroma Mission, under which this purple revolution (Lavender cultivation) would help ease the regional imbalances in socio-economic development and double the farmer’s income, as promised by our prime minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’. He added that the Lavender Revolution was an excellent example of Startup Mission where entrepreneurs and farmers are coming together and creating livelihood opportunities not only for themselves but also for others.

The Union Minister also virtually inaugurated six distillation units at six different places in the Bhaderwah block. The farmers and entrepreneurs engaged in Lavender cultivation and production were felicitated during the event.

Moreover, scientists, industrialists, students, researchers, as well as civil society members were also joined us in the program.
