Two Days Awareness program organized at Dhar village, Block Kirtinagar, Uttarakhand on 3-12-2024 & 4-12-2024

The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, successfully conducted a two-day awareness programme under Aroma Mission Phase III on December 3rd and 4th, 2024, at Dhar Village, Block Kirtinagar, Uttarakhand.
The programme was designed to educate and empower farmers with practical knowledge and advanced skills for cultivating aromatic plants, known for their significant economic and environmental benefits. The event drew the active participation of 100 farmers from the region, highlighting the increasing interest in sustainable agricultural practices and the potential of aromatic plant cultivation. The programme was supervised by Director CSIR IIIM Jammu.
In recognition of their dedication to agriculture and rural development, farmers were honored during the event. The programme featured comprehensive sessions on advanced cultivation techniques, the economic advantages of aromatic plants, and the broader impact of the Aroma Mission on enhancing rural livelihoods.
This initiative underscores CSIR-IIIM’s unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural practices and strengthening the rural economy by promoting aromatic plant cultivation in Uttarakhand and other parts of India.
