The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, organized an Awareness and Quality Planting Material (QPM) Distribution Program on February 19, 2025, at Selur Village, Churerna Thauldhar Block, Tehri Garhwal District. The initiative aimed to educate farmers about lavender cultivation, including its advantages, cultivation techniques, and economic benefits.

More than eight farmers participated in the event, gaining valuable insights into the potential of lavender farming. Following the awareness session, a QPM distribution program was conducted, during which 7,000 lavender plants were distributed among eight farmers from different locations within the district. This effort is expected to promote lavender cultivation in the region, enhance farmers’ income, and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.
